I didn't much care for Candy Corn. I mean I thought the look of the... "Villain" doesn't sound right, given the circumstance... Antagonist? I guess? Either way, the undead murder-man, I thought he looked cool. Same with Dr. Death. Less so, but still, same. I'm a fan of Tony Todd, which, you know, represent. But I guess I don't really... Get? Candy Corn? Like what was the point? Was there one? I guess there could have been, and I missed it, 'cause full disclosure I didn't give this movie one huuuuuundred percent of my attention, but I really feel like that's more on you than me. Try being more engaging.

Solid one-off Halloween watch though, and 'tis the season after all.

Final rating: - Had some things that appeal to me, but a poor finished product.

Vengeance is on the loose in an Ohio town during Halloween

After several youths accost a newly hired outcast working for a traveling carnival, the ringmaster (Pancho Moler) uses dubious occultic power to come to the rescue, which will likely be bad news for the oppressors. PJ Soles and Tony Todd appear in peripheral roles.

Candy Corn (2019) is carnival-oriented horror with some slasher elements written & directed by Josh Hasty. Despite being a low-budget indie, its professionally made with excellent Fall cinematography and haunting mood, augmented by a quality score/soundtrack. The Sheriff of the town is a main character and played by Courtney Gains, whos perhaps best known as Malachai from Children of the Corn.
