Very hit-and-miss.
I've never seen episodes from the original 'Spitting Image' series from the 80s/90s so cannot comment on how it continues from that. This new series is alright, though not as funny as I think they want it to be. I never laughed out loud once, but there are a few chucklesome moments here-and-there. The episodes are so short, ~20 mins, that it's a fine show to fill a gap each evening.
The puppeteering is impressive, I will say that. The puppets themselves are, again, hit-and-miss. Good/amusing ones include Boris Johnson, Dominic Cummings and Donald Trump. As for the bad/unfunny ones: Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, Brad Pitt, Kanye We...
