He directed the indie film Safety Not Guaranteed (2012) and the blockbuster film Jurassic World (2015), and also co-wrote the script to Jurassic World and its 2018 sequel. Trevorrow was born on September 13, 1976 in San Francisco, California. He was raised in Oakland, California.
