The Ren & Stimpy Show is not a cartoon its a psychological endurance test disguised as animation, and I mean that as the highest possible praise Every episode feels like it was animated by caffeine, rage, and a deep hatred of the concept of normal television. Ren screams like a man possessed by demons, Stimpy is a walking biohazard of innocence, and somehow the show manages to be both grotesque and weirdly sincere at the same time The close-ups are crimes against art.
