We found this show by accident many years ago. I had figured out a way to purchase a Canadian satellite tv in order for us to be able to watch a British show that didnt run in the U.S. (Coronation Street) So we watched some of the Canadian programming and decided we really like Rick Mercers weekly look at news and events.
There is a lot of humor. A portion is through mockingly reporting current news items, and there are also fake advertisements. But the built of the show features events or programs going on in Canada. Mercer travels all over to report on them in person. He doesnt mock people oenthe events, but rather he is polite and respectful while being funny.
