Cute and romantic, especially the 'wedding night' scene was very beautifully made. Not too overdone, so it still kept the 'dreamy and wishful' thinking in place. Moreover, it's not too 'dry, or boring', like a 'dead fish', as witnessed in the most general Chinese dramas in the same group nowadays.
Furthermore, the two main actors did a great job in expressing the deepth of closeness, and the convenient dose of intimacy between theirs characters, a perfect-matched, and an explosive on-screen chemistry as a result.
I applaud the director for this bold and decisive act in the art of creation. It seems to me it's a successful move on the whole.️
