During the reign of Long Hua, court power struggles intertwine with a forbidden romance. Xiao Duo, a formidable eunuch conspiring with Prince Fu to seize the throne, rescues Bu Yinlou, a tribute lady meant to die for the late emperor. Forced into each other’s lives, they slowly fall in love despite their unequal status. Some kind of very "brutal" (Ep.2 beginning "Handsmaid Tale"-Style) in some aspect, but for me also very "asthetic", wonderful pictures and camera-quality/-work.. wonderful colors..(i watch it right now only for the "asthetic" aspects).. (i´m now @ EP2 will post more about it ! ;-))
