Dave Brown is chief meteorologist emeritus for WMC Action News 5. Brown joined WMC Action News 5 as chief meteorologist in May 1977. Prior to coming to WMC, he was with WHBQ-Radio & TV, Memphis for 13 years. His career began at hometown radio stations while still in high school in Trenton, Tennessee. On June 30, 2012, Dave's celebrated a broadcast career of fifty years. Dave is a certified broadcast meteorologist by the American Meteorological Society and proudly holds the Seal of Approval of the National Weather Association.
