Kenichi Tajima

Kenichi Tajima is a Japanese musician and shakuhachi player. He began playing the shakuhachi at the age of 12. He studied under his father, Tajima Naoshi, head of the Naosho Tajima School of Shakuhachi. In 2006, he graduated from the Tokyo University of the Arts with a degree in shakuhachi from the Department of Traditional Japanese Music. He has given numerous recitals and invited performances, mainly of classical music, throughout Japan and overseas.
