Biography

Sourya Dipta has a post-graduation degree in Film Studies from Calcutta’s Jadavpur University. A resident of Bengal, India, he found cinema during high school when there was a desperate need for hope to beat the everyday drudgery of life. His first film, In Their Own Time, made on a $1,000 budget, won the best feature-length documentary at the Come On, Doc! film festival held at KC Grad in Serbia.
