Born in Cuba, Pablo’s love for the outdoors came at a very young age. He spent his childhood running around barefoot, playing, trapping, fishing, and hunting birds with his dad or practicing with a slingshot with friends in the woods. Growing up in a creative family, he often made his own toys, slingshots, and spears, and at 11 years- old, he even made his first crossbow. In December of 1980, Pablo left Cuba to come to the United States for a better life with his parents and his sister. He left behind his three older brothers, not knowing when he would see them again.
