Lem is an independent filmmaker from Manila, Philippines. His debut short film "moving remnant" served as his thesis film, was given by the National Commission for the Culture and Arts, The Metropolitan Theater Artistic Committee, and Nude Floor, an artistic grant to shoot on-location. Lem has worked as an intern for the BenildeFilm program and at the Cinemalaya Foundation Inc. under Cinemalaya Institute.
