Biography

Miguel Castro Grimberg, engineer and filmmaker, was born in Santiago de Chile on October 7, 1928. Within the framework of one of the University Film contests, he generated one of his first short films, one of the best known, titled Avenida 18 de julio (1951). His filmography is made up of the following titles: Holiday (1951), Brief history (1952), It was once... (1953), Cariri (1953), Images (1955), Notes for a final (1955), The yellow stripe (1962)17.
