Mário Macedo was born 1989. Finished his studies at the School of Arts at UCP Porto and in the European Film College in Denmark. In Copenhagen he creates, together with other artists, 73collective - a community of young directors that focus on highly personal projects. His short documentary films Uncle Rui (2011) and Sinless Maria (2016) both premiered at DocLisboa Festival. The second won the National Grand Prix at FEST 2017 and both films were featured in the New Visions of Portuguese Directors at the Portuguese Cinematheque in the same year.
