Alinta Dimitriou

Biography

Alinda Dimitriou was born in Athens in 1933 and studied Directing at the Stavrakou School. Alongside organizing film screenings during the period 1970-1975, she participated in seminars on the short film, and wrote and translated articles in film magazines. She is the author of the book Filmography of short films (1939-1979), while in 1992 she published the Dictionary of short films. She directed over 50 documentaries. In 2008 she received the Audience Award at the Documentary Festival in Thessaloniki for the documentary "Birds in the Swamp". Her trilogy, "Birds in the Swamp", "Life on the Roc... Show more
