David Lawrence "Dave" McCary was born on July 2, 1985 in San Diego, California to Diane Lee McCary (née Phillips) & Gary Lee McCary. He works as a segment director for Saturday Night Live (1975). During college he formed a sketch comedy group, Good Neighbor. In 2007, McCary came together with Kyle Mooney, Beck Bennett, and Nick Rutherford to form the sketch comedy group, Good Neighbor.
