"Kumak" couldn't stay awake long enough to catch a cold never mind a seal and that makes him a bit of a laughing stock with the girls in his village. Then one day he goes out and between naps hears a call for help. Paddling to the rescue of an upturned kayak, he encounters... Well, let's just say that upon his return to his people he is a changed man. He now has seals a-plenty, then quickly the fickle girls change their minds and he even gets himself a wife. It's only then, after she complains of a surfeit of catches, does he regale her with a tale of just whom he saved that fateful day and how that led to his new prowess - and how he must keep it a secret or else.... Oops. Too late! I liked the simplicity of both the stop-motion animation ...
