This was a made-for-TV special created by the same team as "Saturday Night Live." Bob & Ray (noted radio and television personalities from the 40's to the 80's) performed many of their sketches, previously heard only on the radio, interspersed with new material. Sketches include the Bob & Ray Lucky Phone Call, an interview with the 11 Inch Tall Gentleman, and the Bob & Ray Grand National Spelling Bee. Bob and Ray were getting to be fairly old at this point, and you can see a bit of a gap between their performances and the more polished work of Jane Curtain, Laraine Newman and Gilda Radner.
