B slasher is well made, but one-dimensional and generally dull
Several college students in SoCal prepare a dorm for renovation, but their efforts are hampered by a mysterious killer.
The Dorm that Dripped Blood (1982) is a second-tier slasher that only cost $90,000 (which would be about $360,000 today), but its surprisingly proficient. The score, for instance, is effective and doesnt sound dated like a lot of B slashers from the 80s. (Clichéd? Yes. Dated? No).
With the milieu being limited to the apartment complex (like, say, Rosemarys Baby), the dramatics have to be entertaining, yet I found the characters relatively boring and the females subpar, although Laurie Lapinski is a decent protagonist. See this only if you nee...
