Storyline

Kilian Helmbrecht spends seven months alone as a bird warden on Scharhörn, a dune island in Heligoland Bay. His duties consist of counting birds, observing them, and collecting flotsam. Contact with the outside world is rare, but this makes the intrusion of the outside world and its issues all the more noticeable.
