The sins of the father are to be laid upon the children.

Michael Mallory is ordered by the courts to attend a therapy session after the police are called to investigate a call about domestic abuse involving his daughter. While there, his therapist Dr Bryant tries to piece together what happened between Michael, his adopted daughter Alex, and his late wife Louise.
