Storyline

Mykki Blanco puts the Girl in Girls. From Doll to Daddy now, we catch, in 2011, a MySpace artist not quite making porn, but definitely wanting to talk about their own dark twisted fairytales. Years of degradation by YouTube algorithms have only added to the aesthetic of these computer poems. Film is Prophecy and Mykki predicts bullshit unseen. Mykki pioneered the to-camera monologue about whatever, and Heart of Obsidian houses home-truths like ‘buffalo don’t hang with the birds for too long’ and ‘obsidian will protect the gentle hearted from abuse.’
