    "Fitzgerald" (Tyrone Power) returns to New York after a trip to his ancestral homeland of Ireland to pick up his successful job working for the "DC Augur" (Lee J. Cobb) political machine. What he didn't count on was that returning also from his trip was a young girl he met - "Nora" (Anne Baxter) and his own personal leprechaun "Horace" (Cecil Kellaway). Pretty soon he is conflicted between his love for the boss's daughter and his newfound friend - and his personal "minder" is never far away trying to keep him on the straight and narrow as the political and personal machinations start to become more difficult to navigate. Kellaway steals this - he is great in the role of the mischievous sprite, but otherwise this is all just a bit twee. Anne...
